Our debt advice service is based on our firm belief that every customer’s journey through debt is wholly distinct and informed by their own unique circumstances. While clients who utilise our services are advised on the full range of debt solutions that are available throughout the United Kingdom, they also receive dedicated and personalised support which strives to empower them in understanding and overcoming their specific financial challenges and concerns. We always endeavour to provide customers with a debt solution which is affordable to them; ensuring that they have enough financial resource to live their life alongside keeping up their repayment schedule.

We are capable of extending support across a wide range of circumstances and solutions, with close partnerships with organisations who can provide Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs), fee-free Debt Management Plans (DMPs), and Trust Deeds (Scotland Only). SED’s debt advice service functions via a dedicated telephony helpline in conjunction with a web-based service staffed by experienced and empathetic debt advisors.

Among other developments, our commitment to innovation has resulted in a notable partnership with Castlight and The Big Issue. In collaboration with these organisations, SED delivers the financial assessment tool ‘The Big View’. This technology provides us with a pre-populated income and expenditure solution for our clients which, crucially, enables our debt advisors to conduct forward-looking projections. Clients can therefore be confident in our ability to supply them with targeted and relevant advice. Castlight are an FCA-regulated Account Information Services Provider (AISP) and Credit Information Services Provider (CISP).
